01 — Overview

We keep it simple and honest

Waxush ("we", "us", or "our") operates Waxush.com and the Viba platform. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our services, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

We are in beta. Our data practices are minimal by design during this phase — we collect what we need to run the platform and improve it, and nothing more.

By using Waxush, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you disagree with anything here, please do not use our services and reach out — we are open to questions.

02 — What we collect

When you join the beta or create an account, we collect:

  • Your name and email address

As you use the Viba platform, we collect information about how you interact with it:

  • Features you use and actions you take within the platform
  • Projects and code you create (only to provide and improve the service)

If you contact us by email or submit feedback, we retain that correspondence to respond to you and improve our services.

03 — How we use it

What your data powers

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Waxush and Viba platform
  • Authenticate your account and keep it secure

  • Send beta updates and product announcements — you can opt out at any time
  • Understand how the platform is used so we can make it better
  • Diagnose and fix technical problems
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data to serve you ads. We do not build advertising profiles. Waxush is funded by users, not advertisers.

04 — Sharing your data

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited data only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers — Trusted third parties who help us run the platform (hosting, email delivery, error tracking). They are contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
  • Legal requirements — If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
  • Business transfers — If Waxush is acquired or merges with another company, your data may transfer. We will notify you before that happens.

Any third parties we work with are evaluated for data handling practices before we engage with them.

05 — Cookies

Small files, clear purpose

We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes only:

  • Essential cookies — Required to keep you logged in and the platform functional. You cannot opt out of these and continue to use the service.
  • Analytics cookies — Help us understand how users move through the platform. These are anonymised and can be disabled in your browser settings.

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

06 — Data retention

We keep data only as long as we need it

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.

Anonymised, aggregated usage data (with no link back to you) may be retained indefinitely to help us understand long-term platform trends.

07 — Your rights

You are in control

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you

  • Objection — Object to certain uses of your data, including marketing
  • Withdraw consent — Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@waxush.com. We will respond within 30 days.

08 — Security

We take protecting your data seriously

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed password storage, access controls, and regular security reviews.
